Iñaki de Juana Chaos ends hunger strike arriving to Basque Country as he said, after an heroic struggle and national and international solidarity and

Iñaki de Juana Chaos, an ETA prisoner on hunger strike for the past 114 days to protest his continuing imprisonment on a new, recent conviction for writing articles deemed as terrorist threats, decided Thursday to put an end to the hunger strike.
Juan Maria Olano, spokesman for Askatasuna, announced de Juana's decision some minutes before the Basque prisoner got the Donostia hospital.

"The main concern of Askatasuna .... now is that Inaki gets his health back and doesn't suffer any ill-effects from this dramatic hunger strike," said the spokesman for the Basque prisoners' association Askatasuna.

Spanish authorities moved de Juana from a Madrid hospital to one in the Basque region Thursday as a first step toward allowing him to serve the remainder of his sentence at home under custody.
